Introduction to alpine flora
Friday 13 June & Saturday 21 June
Would you like to learn more about the beautiful alpine flowers that we see in spring and summer during our mountain walks? This short introductory course is aimed at anyone interested in our alpine flora, with an evening of theory and a day of practice up in the mountains.
We’ll spend the evening of Friday 13 June together exploring the morphology of flowers, the range of adaptations to the alpine environment, and the basics of classification and identification, all with reference to interesting examples. Then we’ll spend a full day in the mountains on Saturday 21 June, putting everything into practice and discovering a varied flora as we walk.
Cost: CHF 135 per person for a group of at least 6 (excluding transport).
