About

I look forward to sharing my passion for the Swiss mountains with you!

When I moved to Switzerland from the UK more than 35 years ago, I discovered the Swiss mountains. Little by little I explored the breath-taking scenery, summer and winter, on foot and on skis.

It gives me immense pleasure to share my favourite parts of Switzerland with others and what better way to explore the mountains than on foot! Whether you’re looking for relaxing or more challenging hikes… whether you prefer forests, meadows, lakes, passes or spectacular peaks… whether your interest is in the natural world, local culture or simply wonderful views,  I would love to accompany you.

I trained as a Mountain Leader with the Swiss Mountain Guides Association to enable me to share my passion for the mountains professionally. This training involves a whole series of modules on safety (summer and winter), mountain first aid, orientation and route planning, group leadership, flora and fauna, geology, culture and more. I have a particular interest in alpine flora and in 2014 gained my “level 200” certificate in field botany from the Swiss Botanical Society.

I am also happy to be currently engaged as a trainer for parts of the module “Nature, Culture, Meteorology and Animation” in the mountain leader training programme run by the Swiss Mountain Guides Association.

The stunning scenery and natural history of the Swiss mountains never cease to inspire me and I hope they will inspire you too!
