Gspon to Simplon — with a panoramic peak!

FULLY BOOKED! A long weekend of itinerant hiking in varied landscapes, in part on the Alpine Passes Trail. We spend the first night in Visperterminen, home to Europe’s highest vineyard, and the second night on the historic Simplon Pass.
Highlights
Ancient larches and stone pines in the Sädolwald forest reserve; panoramic views of high glaciers and Valais peaks from the Gibidumsee; and a rocky summit at over 2700 m, perched high above the two deep valleys of Nanztal and Nessultal.
Type of hiking
- 3 days of guided hikes, with discovery of the local flora and fauna, geology, history and culture.
- Hikes at level 3*, for hikers on good form; 600‒1000 m ↑↓ and 5–6 hours’ walking per day (excluding breaks).
- Technical level: T2 (Swiss Alpine Club grading).
- Need to carry rucksack with clothes, picnics and overnight kit for the 3 days.
Price and booking
Price per person: CHF 580 (min. 6, max. 9 participants), including: 3 days’ guided hikes; 2 nights’ accommodation in twin rooms with half-board. Price excludes: transport, insurances, picnics/lunches, drinks. Please allow about 20 francs for chairlift transfers.
