A panoramic hike taking us up through moorland and swathes of summer alpine rhododendrons to the sometimes airy Guggisgrat ridge and over the Gemmenalphorn at 2061 m to the Niederhorn. A day to enjoy wonderful views of the Bernese Alps, Thunersee and deep Justiztal, with a strong chance of encounters with the local ibex.

Total walking time is about 5 hours, with about 1100 m of up and 350 m down. Some exposed sections, so not recommended for anyone susceptible to vertigo.

Price per person: CHF 65 (excluding transport — descent by gondola at the end of the hike).
