A 4-day long weekend of winter walking (without snow-shoes!) from a hotel base in the pretty village of Kandersteg. Guided by David Erard.

Highlights

  • The open scenic routes across plateaus and forests on the Gemmi Pass trail.
  • The spectacular Oeschinensee mountain lake with its surrounding cliffs and snow-capped peaks.
  • The calm Höhwald forest and valley trail leading to the idyllic, deep clear Blausee.

For enthusiastic walkers on reasonable form; walks at level 1*/2*, from 3 to 5 h (excluding breaks) with climbs of up to 600 m.

Choice of walks may be modified to take account of local weather conditions or for the security of the group.

 

Price and booking

CHF 850 per person (min. 5, max. 10 participants), including 4 days of walking; 3 nights with half-board in twin rooms. One single room available. Chalet-Hotel Adler. www.chalethotel.ch

Price excludes: transport, insurances, lunches, drinks.

Please allow about an additional CHF 40 (with ½-price card or general abonnement) for transport during the four days (bus, cablecar) to enable us to make the most of the higher walking trails.
