Saturday 11 May - Thursday 16 May
Spring hiking in the southernmost part of Switzerland. Five days from a comfortable hotel base close to the shores of Lake Lugano.
Highlights: the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Monte San Giorgio with its fascinating geology; the classic hike over Monte San Salvatore and down to the idyllic lakeside village of Morcote; the forests, terraced pastures and picturesque villages of the Valle di Muggio (voted landscape of the year in 2014); and the panoramic views from Monte Generoso with its majestic “Fiore di pietra” created by the famous architect Mario Botta.
