From Meiringen to Münster — with “5G”!
Wednesday 18 September - Sunday 22 September
FULLY BOOKED (waiting list)!
Highlights
A varied trek with 5 “Gs” to discover: the spectacular Aare Gorge, cut into the limestone and in some places 200 m deep; the lovely turquoise Gelmersee, and steep hike to the Gelmerhütte perched above it; the impressive, ubiquitous “G” rocks of the region (granite, gneiss) with their fascinating geological history; the Grimselpass, watershed and historic transit and trading route; and the Goms, the high valley where we finish our trek, with its authentic villages, wooden houses and whitewashed churches.
As we hike, we also experience the steepest open funicular in Europe, a special gourmet dinner in a gastronomic restaurant, and a rocky climb to a peak above 2700 m with a wonderful 360° panorama of the Valais and Bernese Alps.
